Onward and upward.

Yay!! Today I awoke with resumed energy levels! I am so happy as now I may be able to finish off what I started a week ago. Having this dreaded Parathyriodism is a real pain so when my energy levels are up I try to make the most of it as I know they won't last very long.  Already I'm planning on trying to complete my painting of the forest raven and then hope to tick off some more on my too do list.
So onward & upward I go. Happy day everyone.

Echo's of the seasons.

Early this morning I awoke to the vibrations of strong winds & heavy rain pounding on the roof.
Lucky for me I guess I was not sleeping at the church last night or I may have experienced the leaky roof situation. I do love the sound of rain, no complaints from me ever of rain at night as there's nothing so soothing than rain and wind for that matter, two of my favourite sounds on this earth.
Speaking of sounds, I forgot to mention another resonance that I find calming and that is the echo of the ocean of waves crashing on the shore and rising up again from the depths of the ocean, how beautiful it is. Well today, mid morning continues to be windy and as I gaze out my window people rush by to clammer for warmth from the external elements. I will enjoy the weather from the inside today as soon enough the warm weather will approach and we will experience warm temperatures, brown grass and what was once green rolling hills will soon become a pale memory until the cooler month of Autumn arrives. How I love the ever changing seasons this part of the world brings.

Spring is in the air.

Well, spring is certainly here. I took bonny for a walk this morning and all the spring bulbs are in full bloom, they look so beautiful. I have a potted hyacinth here and the perfume is just divine.
Spring time always evokes memories of the past for me, I guess that's because I've always been around gardens my entire life. As a small child my grandmother always made sure she had her variety of bulbs ready for springtime in her small garden. If I close my eyes I can still smell their perfume and can actually smell the air from that garden and hear the wind blowing through the two tall trees she had planted there. How I loved that garden, mind you it was nothing grand but it was always full of surprises with little statues of garden gnomes popping their sometimes scary faces out from the plants and I also remember the two brown lion statues she had perched on the verandah. They were there for many years originally coming from a carnival prize she had won many years before. But most of all I think I remember that garden
because it was a safe haven to come back to when I went away. After all it was home.❤

Wednesday.

Well, it's Wednesday and still my motivations are running high to create, I know I shouldn't be counting the days that I am motivated and thinking when is this energetic feeling going to disappear is gain into the deep dark crevices of my mind but since I've suffered from my illness which is hypercalecemia and hyperparathyriodisim  I know that everyday I feel energetic is a blessing. I woke up this morning ready for a new day and looking forward to starting my new painting simply titled the fox. I can already visualise what he will look like on the canvas with his bright red coat almost orange! I can't wait to get started! ..... Again*
